*Request* Blue Gradient Tutorial

Today I will be doing a tutorial for this bad boy ^^
This is my favorite look that I have done in awhile since I have been kinda lazy with my makeup (before starting this blog :)
Here is an alternate view so you can get a better idea of what we are going for:
 Here we goo....

Apply primer (Urban Decay Primer Potion) all over your eyelid, doesn't matter if it is messy because it won't show, I promise :)

Fill in brows to your desired shape

Use concealer to draw a line directly underneath your brows

It should look like this.

Now blend this line out w/ a stiff brush or your finger (I use my finger cause it is easier)

Use a matte shadow (I used MAC Wedge) that is similar to your skintone...
..and apply underneath the concealer (all over the bridge area between your crease and the concealer), blending as you apply.

Should look something like this.

Now take a matte off white (or eggshell) shadow. I am using MAC Vanilla e/s

Apply this all over your lid and slightly into the crease.

Make sure to blend into bridge color you previously applied above the crease. Also be sure to blend at the inner corner...unless you want to look like a ganguro girl...if you don't know what that is look it up. Trust me you don't want to look like that!!

Take a shimmery dark blue/grey shadow (Too Faced Vixen) and a tapered blending brush (MAC 222) if you have one

Apply this to the outside corner of your crease and also drag a small amount onto the outer corner of your lid in a V shape.

Blend so it looks something like this.

Now use a sparkly black shadow (Urban Decay Oil Slick)...

Apply to the outer V to darken that area (use a small brush for this. I am using MAC 219). To darken the outer V you just draw a diagonal line from the end of your crease to the lashline...

Then another line from above where your iris ends (in the crease) to meet with the first line.

Like so!

Blend slightly so that it is not harsh but still defined.

This step is optional but if you want your lower shadows to last this is very helpful! Apply primer to your lower lash line.

Now use a small brush (or liner brush) to apply the dark blue/grey shade to the outer corner of your lower lash line. you may have to go over this many times to cover the primer.

Should look like this.

Now apply turquoise liner (Sephora Flashy Waterproof Liner). This will act as a base/intensifier for the blue shadows you will be applying to the lower lash line.

Apply to the lower lash line up to where you applied the dark blue. TIP: Don't apply waterproof liners directly to your waterline. Since they are meant to repel water putting them on your waterline is gonna make the texture of it weird/chunky/clumpy/gross

Apply eyeliner to your upper lash line starting from about where your iris begins.

<--- Like that.

Now take a highly pigmented blue shadow (Urban Decay Adore)

Spray a small amount of MAC Fix+ on the back of your hand (or you can use a bit of water). Use this to dampen a liner brush or a very thin brush. Then drag your damp brush over the blue (adore) eyeshadow. TIP: It is best to drag the brush only on a small area at the edge of the pan of your eyeshadow instead of all over because having large areas of moisture in your eyeshadow=more risk of bacteria/contamination of said eyeshadow

Apply damp shadow as a liner on the inner corner of your upper lash line bringing it to meet with the black liner. Don't worry if it is not super dark as we will be going over it again.

Should look like this...I noticed my lips look super dry/weird

Also apply the blue shadow to the middle of your lower lash line (using the same brush)

Should look like that.

Now you are going to dry that same brush do it is not damp anymore. Drag it over a dry area of the blue eyeshadow and go over the lines you just created with the damp shadow.

Make sure to blend into the dark blue that you applied to the outer corner of the lower lash line.

Now take a shimmery light turquoise (Urban Decay Flipside)...

Apply to the inner corner of the lower lash line blending into the blue placed in the middle (adore).

 Should look like this.

Apply black liner (MAC Feline) to your waterline. TIP: Try not to pull your eyelids like this too often. I do cause I'm a bad girl but it gives you wrinkles!! Well actually you will just get them faster really.

 Should look like this now.

Apply concealer and foundation

Make fishy face to contour cheekbones. This is optional cause if you aren't great with contouring I would skip it cause its easy to end up looking way crazy if you do too much.

Should look like this...yay for cheekbones!!

Apply blush that is close to your skintone (MAC Sweet as Cocoa) I wouldn't use like a highly colored blush here cause the eyes are already so much its a good idea to keep the rest of the face more nude tones.

Smile and apply blush to the apples of your cheeks.

Now choose a highlight that works well with your blush. I am using MAC Northern Lights Mineralized Skinfinish (its more toned down then a lot of my other highlights)

Apply to tops of cheeks (above the apple sweeping outward)
Snap Random photo!

Apply nude lipstick (MAC Velvet Teddy) and lashes if you want.
TADAAAAA!!!!
